Sketch of Upcoming New Facade Design  •  Architect:  www.alvinholm.com
Welcome to Cafette!  For fifteen years, locals have known our seasonal menu, fresh ingredients and relaxed atmosphere make us a perfect spot for gathering.  Come grab a “Dave’s” Italian hoagie—a “Best of Philly” winner at lunch with co-workers, enjoy a relaxing brunch with mom, or a  romantic dinner under the stars with your partner.  Not sure of everyone’s tastes?  Cafette’s varied menu not only has spicy BBQ ribs to die for—but several real choices for a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. You’ll notice the work of Michael Donato, line cook and artist, as he merges his talents with his beautifully arranged dishes

Executive chef, John McLaughlin has created a seasonal menu with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal produce and moderate prices in keeping with Cafette’s history of serving good value along with great food. Formerly of The Goat Hollow and Rembrandts, Mc Laughlin has recently unveiled his Thai Style Crab Cakes—with lump crab and just enough coconut milk and mild chili peppers to hold it together, over marinated rice noodles. Our crabmeat is fresh from the local fish marker, Bob Groben.  And our brunch eggs are delivered from the Lancaster farmer himself every week—just in time for “Eggs Mary”—with bloody Mary hollandaise sauce.

Yes, the crust on that triple berry pie is made by hand.  The icing on that dark chocolate cake—spread thickly.  Baker Ellen Grey, former owner of a Slice of Heaven restaurant, brings her considerable talent to Cafette’s dessert menu. Look forward to fruit pies in season, panacotta, (light summer custard), Key lime pie, lemon mousse, or perhaps a ricotta cheese cake, the likes of which can transport you to Little Italy in just one bite.

Head over for some of the best food around.  With our easy atmosphere and affordable, BYOB menu, you’ll know why Philly Magazine highlighted us for the second year running.
